HEALING CHRONIC STRESS AND/or DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA
WITH SOMATIC EXPERIENCING™ and neuro-affective relational model™
For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated with the human story. Why we struggle, suffer, be it emotional or physical. I’ve been an observer all my life. Just came in that way. Around the age of twenty, there was a turning point for me. Like most twenty-year-olds, it was pretty much all about me but I remember having specific thoughts... What if there is more than what is obvious? What is really causing me to make the choices I do? Why am I here? How come I can’t touch my toes? But mostly, I just wanted to be a better person, a more honest one, a more conscious one, a more comfortable one and I wanted to contribute to others.
Over twenty-five years ago I started practicing yoga and meditation. Soon after I became a yoga teacher specializing in yoga therapy. Several years ago I began to concentrate my focus of practice, both personally and professionally, on Somatic Experiencing™ ("SE") and Neuro-Affective Relational Model™ ("NARM"). These modalities, I have found, are the most effective in working with people's physical and emotional pain as well as chronic stress and post traumatic stress symptoms. I have excellent training. Comprehensive, extensive study in yoga, psychotherapy, NARM ™, SE™ and transformational therapeutic work. The learning never ends and my training continues to date. My teachers and mentors have been instrumental in my development as a human being as well as a practitioner.
Over the years I have worked with hundreds of people, both in class situations as well as privately. My clients have given me a wonderful opportunity and privilege to be a part of the most intimate details of their lives. These experiences, as well as my own dedication to my health and wellbeing, have developed my ability to work with the various levels of trauma and personal development a client may have. It is from there I begin to explore and guide, with their consent, to a place of clarity and understanding about their bodies and minds. You need someone to do that for you until you can begin to hear the music for yourself.
I am dedicated to the process of helping people realize their full potential. I am passionate about it. When I see a client move to a new place of awareness and aliveness, which translates to every aspect of their lives, it gives me great joy. I love the work I do.
